Richard Wade has given science presentations for young people at libraries, schools, homeschooling families, gem and mineral shows, scout troops, and clubs for 18 years.
Based in Southern California, he has performed thousands of times in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties, with engagements as far away as Sacramento, Salt lake City, Grand Canyon, and San Diego County.
He has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, and also a Master’s degree in Art. He makes many unique objects that help children easily understand scientific ideas, and presents them with a contagious energy.
He does not just present what science knows, but also shows how science knows. He moves very quickly through the material, and children are both entertained and intrigued.
In his free time, Richard enjoys amateur astronomy, fossil hunting, and exploring volcanoes.
